The capsule collection was designed for the contest Vogue Talents / Alcantara – Reshaping the Future, which required creating a capsule with the theme of sustainability using Alcantara fabrics. The collection was developed during lockdown in remote collaboration with photographer
The aim was to create a small wardrobe that sustains: it contains swappable and transformable pieces that can be changed between two looks or worn in different ways. All looks are made from Alcantara fabric, making it easier to swap some parts, as the material would be consistent.
The general theme revolves around androgyny, illustrating a girl dressed in items from a men’s wardrobe, but retaining feminine elements.
The shooting approach followed the theme and was done remotely and separately. We did the shooting with androgyny in mind, and then manually hand-drew the clothes onto the model using Photoshop without physically sewing them. This method also served as a sustainable approach we developed.
